Enrich Biosystems: A Cloud Pipeline for Cell-Imaging Analysis
Client: Enrich Biosystems, a biotech company working on cell-based screening.
Service: Software development and cloud engineering.
The challenge
Enrich's scientists needed to run CellProfiler image-analysis pipelines at scale without command-line work: upload files, configure pipelines, run them on a cluster and get results back.
Our approach
- Phase 2 (Oct 2024): integrated Distributed CellProfiler (DCP) with the backend, and deployed the FastAPI and React apps, environments and IAM roles.
- Front-end features for pipeline configuration, file processing and cluster management, then role-based authentication.
- Ongoing retainer: fixed 'bad file' pipeline failures and model-file mismatches, and supported new model files.
The result
- Staging environment live and in use by the client from Nov 2024.
- Pipelines run for named client projects (e.g. "enrich-1", Jan 2025).
